Boundless Access was founded on a simple belief: the toughest challenges in height and confined space work can be solved with unconventional thinking, expert planning, and an unwavering commitment to safety.
The journey began with Tre Hamuera-Ozbolt, who entered the height and access industry straight out of school as a scaffolder. Early on, he saw first-hand how untrained workers, poor planning, and a lack of understanding around safety responsibilities could put lives, and entire operations, at risk. Those experiences shaped both his passion for health and safety and his drive to build a business that raises the standard across the industry.
From the outset, our mission has been to protect those exposed to height and access risks — workers, Person Conducting Business or Undertaking (PCBUs), and officers — by providing safer, smarter solutions. Boundless was created to bridge the knowledge gap, helping organisations meet their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), while giving workers the confidence and tools to operate safely.

Our Story
Boundless began as a response to a growing need for safer, more practical access solutions. For our founder, Tre Hamuera-Ozbolt, the journey started straight out of school, working as a scaffolder. Those early years in both commercial and industrial settings offered first-hand exposure to the realities of the height and access industry: traditional methods that were often effective but also carried unnecessary risks, especially when paired with poor planning, untrained workers, or a lack of knowledge.
While scaffolding provided Tre with a strong foundation in conventional access systems, it also sparked a deeper passion for working at height. That passion ultimately led him to transition into rope access and specialised access work, disciplines that demanded precision, planning, and innovation to tackle environments where scaffolding or traditional methods weren’t practical.
These experiences didn’t just expand his technical expertise; they also planted the seed for something bigger, a recognition that there had to be a better way. Seeing how easily worker safety and entire operations could be jeopardised drove him to pursue a different path, one where smarter planning, better education, and innovative methods could create safer, more efficient outcomes.
That philosophy became the foundation of Boundless and what we now call The Unconventional Standard: the belief that alternative solutions, backed by expertise and safety, can often outperform traditional approaches.
As a former scaffolder turned specialised access technician and active educator, Tre’s passion for health, safety, and workforce education inspired him to build Boundless into more than just a contracting business. Today, our services extend beyond rope access and confined space operations into a dedicated height and access safety consulting division, helping businesses minimise risk, streamline operations, and maintain compliance.
This consulting arm also works actively in the education space, assisting in the training and development of the current industry worker and the next generation of workers through schools and Gateway programs.
We also recognised the gap businesses faced in managing equipment safety and compliance. That’s why we developed our PPE inspection and tagging services, giving companies peace of mind that their gear is safe, compliant, and protecting their people as intended.
